Annlin's setting
Annlin is a residential suburb in Pretoria's north-east, alongside Sinoville, Wonderboom and Montana, just north of the Magaliesberg. Termites
Harvester termites strip lawns in winter, and subterranean termites can reach timber through cracks in the slab or along foundation walls. We confirm which one it is before treating.
Rats and mice
Rodents move in from the veld and the ridge when it gets cold, and they're drawn by bird seed, dog food and compost. Lockable bait stations outside and sealing the gaps are what keep them out for good.
Spiders and ticks
Garden spiders and the occasional button spider turn up in wood piles and outbuildings, and ticks are picked up by dogs walked on the open ground nearby.
The Annlin year

What people get wrong
Knocking a wasp nest down with a broom. It feels quick, but it scatters angry wasps, often leaves the queen alive, and they rebuild a short distance away, sometimes somewhere worse like inside a roof vent. Treating the nest first and then removing it is safer and stops the rebuild.

What does a wasp nest removal cost in Annlin?
A single, reachable nest is one of our smaller jobs. Price goes up for several nests, nests in roof spaces or high gables. We confirm the cost after seeing it.
Is it safe to remove a wasp nest myself?
Small, new nests can be, but larger nests are risky, especially for anyone allergic. Knocking them down often makes the wasps rebuild nearby.
Why do my dogs keep getting fleas?
Most fleas live as eggs and larvae in bedding, carpets and shady garden soil. Unless the house, garden and pets are treated together, the cycle restarts.
Can my dog go outside after a flea treatment?
Keep dogs off treated garden areas until the spray has dried, ideally for the rest of that day. Inside, once surfaces are dry it's fine.
Do I have to move out?
No. Normal insect treatments don't require you to leave home. Only gas fumigation needs the area vacated.
