• The Common Fruit Fly (Family: Drosophilidae) They are commonly called Vinegar Flies or Wine Flies, they are a smaller species and maggots are rarely noticed by the untrained eye. These flies frequent bars and pubs with poor hygiene practices. They breed in fruit or sticky liquids such as spilt alcohol.
